The Royal Melbourne Hospital offers work experience to Secondary School Students (in years 10 to 12) and University Students from Universities with existing links to the hospital.
Successful students are provided with the opportunity to spend one week working within available departments to observe and where possible participate in the daily activities of those departments.
The Royal Melbourne Hospital receives over 200 requests for work experience and are only able to secure approximately 20 placements each year. Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee placements to all students.
How to apply?
Applications for 2012 Secondary Work Experience will be open until the 30th December, 2011. Applications will not be reviewed until this closing date.
Students are encouraged to apply for single work experience positions and explain their interest in that particular field in their cover letter.
