Opera in the Market - Monday 17 & Wednesday 19 March 2008
4 February 2008
If there’s just one event you attend in Melbourne this year – make sure it’s Opera in the Market – a magical night of music in aid of medical research at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
In its ninth year, the magical transformation of the Queen Victoria Market into an opera house, for Opera in the Market, is an experience not to be missed.
Opera in the Market is a superb night and in 2008, we bring together Opera Australia’s Taryn Fiebig, tenor sensation Roy Best, and the international flautist Jane Rutter, who will be joined by the 130 voice choir and 65 piece orchestra conducted by Aria Award winning Benjamin Northey.
There will also be a special guest appearance by athlete and community leader, Michael Long.
For those who seek the complete indulgence, Premium Packages are available, which comprise a three course dinner provided by Epicure Catering, accompanied by fine wines from Scotchmans Hill.
Since its creation in 1999, Opera in the Market has become a hugely successful fundraiser for medical research and a must see event in Melbourne’s annual event calendar.
Tickets are available through Ticketek - phone 13 28 49 or visit www.ticketek.com.au.
Corporate Packages can be purchased from: The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation on (03) 9342 8492.
