RMH Golf Classic set to tee off for medical research
1 October 2007
RMH Golf Classic report and results
More than 100 players will tee off in The Royal Melbourne Health Golf Classic at the prestigious Royal Melbourne Golf Course on Monday 15 October.
All income from the event will support the work of RMH's leading medical research teams, making a difference to the ways the hospital cares for people with high risk conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, mental health, stroke and cancer.
The day starts with a golf clinic led by Bruce Green, head Professional at Royal Melbourne Golf Club, and Peter Nardella. Teams will compete for the RMH Golf Classic Trophy under the Ambrose format, on the famed RMGC West Course. Prizes will be awarded at a presentation dinner, which will include a special guest speaker.
Sponsors of the event include: Agar Cleaning Systems, B Braun, Bassett Healthcare, Baulderstone Hornibrooke, Bilfinger Berger, BOC Ltd, Clifford Hallam, Dentoh and Associates, Des Nixon, Fuji Xerox, JMP Consulting Engineers, Johnstaff, LEHR Consulting, Leighton Contractors, Otis Elevator Company, Partners in Performance, Roche Products, RSM Bird, SGE Credit Union, Sandoz, Siemens, Skylift Cranes Services, Stud Park Medical Centre, Symbion Health and Wilson Parking.
Roche Scholarship
Roche is a long-standing supporter of RMH, including funding of a Scholarship in Molecular Haematology focusing on Leukaemia Genetics. This ongoing scholarship is providing the opportunity for a young researcher to work in a stimulating and ground-breaking field.
