Melbourne Health is part of the unique Parkville Precinct - just north of the Melbourne CBD - which is home to world-leading organisations in health care, research and education.

The Victorian Government’s Parkville Precinct Strategic Plan highlights the opportunities from the close proximity of key institutions such as The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The University of Melbourne, the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, and the impending relocation of the Royal Women’s Hospital beside the RMH City Campus.

Already, these institutions, along with the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, have agreed to develop an integrated cancer service, as outlined in the Government’s Parkville Precinct Plan.
