Conflict of Interest guidelines

  1. All members of the Institutional Biosafety Committee are required to sign a Confidentiality and Conflict Declaration form annually. This form includes the disclosure of potential conflicts of interest that may arise when Institutional Biosafety Committee members have commercial affiliations with a company that is sponsoring a particular research project.
     
  2. Institutional Biosafety Committee members must leave the room and not be involved in the review or approval process of any project with which they are connected.

Complaints by researchers

If any members of a research team wish to complain about any aspect of a research project, the way it is being conducted, or about the handling/review of a project by the Institutional Biosafety Committee, they should contact the IBC Chairman or Gene Technology and Biosaftey Officer.
