RMH cyclists ride to raise for Sub-Acute Ambulatory Care
28 April 2006
On 1 April, 16 brave cyclists and nine support crew representing The Royal Melbourne Hospital battled a strong head wind in Woody's Murray to Moyne, a 520km cycle relay, to raise more than $20,000 for Sub-Acute Ambulatory Care at the hospital's Royal Park Campus.
Woody's Murray to Moyne is a 24-hour team cycle event designed to raise money for Victorian hospitals and health services.
Riders begin from points along the Murray River, in Echuca, Mildura and Swan Hill, and converge at the end of the Moyne River, in Port Fairy.
For the first time RMH had two teams of eight participating in the event. One team has ridden for RMH Royal Park Campus for 12 years - and they are renowned pace setters in the event!
