Dr Peter Brennan appointed Chief Executive Officer of Melbourne Health

The Chairman of the Melbourne Health Board, Professor David Karpin, today announced the appointment of Dr Peter Brennan to the position of Chief Executive Officer, to take effect immediately.

The Board initially appointed Dr Peter Brennan as Chief Executive Officer for a period of six months to allow adequate time for a permanent appointment to be made.

Professor Karpin said 'This appointment follows an extensive and competitive recruitment process and I am delighted with the outcome and the decision to appoint Peter to this position'.

Dr Brennan joined Melbourne Health in 2002 as Executive Director Medical Services and Strategy and Development and has been interim Chief Executive Officer since July 2005.
