The Project
Professor Peter Colman exemplifies the clinician/researcher on whom the reputation of The Royal Melbourne Hospital depends.
He started his research career at the RMH in the 1980s, studied in the USA and then returned to RMH to take up the position of Director of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Peter has been instrumental in setting up a number of key clinical research studies that are recognised as ground breaking by the international diabetes research community. He has also played a key role in establishing Melbourne Health’s pre-eminence in diabetes research in Australia . . . evidenced by our status as the sponsor and lead site of the Insulin II Trial.
