 Board Committees


Several of the Melbourne Health Board of Directors lend their expertise to the operations of Committees of the Board and to Board related projects. The Chairman is an ex-officio member of each committee.

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities relating to accounting and reporting practices of Melbourne Health.

Finance Committee
The Finance Committee assists the Audit Committee and the Board in fulfilling their respective responsibilities relating to accounting and reporting practices of Melbourne Health.

Safety and Service Improvement Committee
Formerly the Melbourne Health Quality Committee, the Safety and Service Improvement Committee provides strategic direction for the organisation's safety and service improvement efforts and to ensure congruence with strategic and operational plans.

Community Advisory Committee
The Community Advisory Committee is constituted to provide leadership and direction to community participation for Melbourne Health. It has a responsibility to advise the Melbourne Health Board on governance, policy and strategy in relation to community participation and its impact on health service outcomes.

Primary Care and Population Health Advisory Committee
The role of the Primary Care and Population Health Advisory Committee is to advise the Melbourne Health Board on strategic issues and approaches to population health and service planning issues, with the aim of improving the health outcomes of the communities in Melbourne Health catchments.
