Complaints by research participants

If research participants wish to complain about any aspect of a research project, they should make initial contact with:

Complaints by researchers

If any members of a research team wish to complain about any aspect of a research project, the way it is being conducted, or about the handling/review of a project by the Mental Health Research and Ethics Committee, they should contact the Chairman or Manager of the Committee, in the first instance.

The Melbourne Health Research Directorate also has policies concerning allegations of scientific misconduct, potential conflict of interest, publication and authorship, data gathering, storage and retention and supervision of students/ research trainees.

These policies are described in the Guidelines_for Scientific_Practice 2003.
