Robert Doyle - Chairman
Mr Doyle is a Director with the Nous Group, a management consultancy firm, and is also a Council Member, Policy and Economics Council, for the Gerson Lehrman Group. Mr Doyle’s political career includes serving as Leader of the Opposition, Shadow Minister for Health and Parliamentary Secretary for Health. Mr Doyle is also an Ambassador for Odyssey House. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and a Master of Letters.
He was appointed Melbourne Health Board chairman in July 2007.

Ms Marilyn Beaumont
Ms Beaumont has extensive experience across a number of States and at the national level in nursing, management and administration, health policy development and analysis, women's health and health consumer rights. Since 1995, she has been the Executive Director, Women's Health Victoria, a statewide women's health information and advocacy service. Between 1987 and 1995, Ms Beaumont was the Federal Secretary of the Australian Nursing Federation and prior to that, State Secretary, South Australian branch. Between 1995 and 2000, she was a part-time commissioner with the Health Insurance Commission. Ms Beaumont is on the Corrections Health Board, Hanover Welfare Services Board and is a member of a number of other Victorian health advisory committees.
Ms Beaumont was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2000 (founding Board member).

Ms Kate Redwood
Ms Redwood has held a number of senior management positions including CEO of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Executive Director of Australian Red Cross Victoria, and Executive Director of the Victorian Council of Social Service. She is the chair of the Melbourne Transport Committee, and has chaired the Regional Library Board, The City of Melbourne Disability Advisory Committee, Royal Park Masterplan Implementation Committee and the Carlton Senior Citizens' Centre Committee of Management. Ms Redwood is also a member of the University College Council. A former Councillor for the City of Melbourne, Ms Redwood has chaired two major standing committees: the Environment Community and Cultural Development Committee, and more recently the Commonwealth Games and Major Projects Committee.
Ms Redwood was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2003.

Professor James Angus
Professor Angus is the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at The University of Melbourne. Previously he held the Chair of Pharmacology and was Head of Department since joining the University in 1993. Professor Angus has an extensive research record in cardiovascular and analytical pharmacology and was recently named a citation Laureate as one of the most cited researchers over the past 20 years in Australia by Thompson ISI. Professor Angus was President of the Academic Board and has served on The Council of The University and Council of The Australian Academy of Science. He currently also serves on the Boards of St Vincent's Institute of Medical Research, Centre for Eye Research Australia, Bionic Ear Institute, National Ageing Research Institute, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and The Howard Florey Institute. Professor Angus was awarded the Gottschalk Medal from the Australian Academy of Science (1984) and the Centenary Medal for services to Pharmacology and the community (2003).
Professor Angus was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in March 2004.

Dr Patricia Molloy
Dr Molloy is an experienced general practitioner who works at the Western Region Health Centre in Footscray. This is a diverse practice, which deals with a broad range of patients where expertise in refugee health, drug and alcohol problems and mental health issues is vital. She has had extensive experience in the Public Hospital system both as a clinician and administrator and continues in an administrative capacity at Box Hill Hospital dealing with medico-legal issues. She was a member of the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria from 1999 until 2005 and chaired many formal and informal hearings in addition to being a member of the Registration, Finance and Administration and Sexual Misconduct committees. She continues to sit on disciplinary hearings. This range of experience brings with it an understanding of the issues that currently confront the hospital system in Victoria, in particular as it relates to the provision of quality care. Her interests lie in medical ethics and the development of standards.
Dr Molloy was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2005.

Ms Leanne Planck
Ms Planck is a consultant with her own company that specialises in improving finance processes, systems and functions for major organisations. She is a Director of the Metropolitan Ambulance Service and a member of their Finance and Audit Committees. She is also a Director and Chair of the Audit Committee for the Legal Practitioners’ Liability Committee, an organisation which provides professional indemnity insurance and risk management services for Victorian legal practitioners and national law firms. Between 1995 and 2003, Ms Planck worked for the Royal Dutch Shell Group with the majority of her time working overseas in European and worldwide roles. Her last line management role was as European Refinery Finance Manager for a $5 billion capital employed business. Prior to joining Shell, Ms Planck was a Director of Ernst & Young and originally started her career with Price Waterhouse. Ms Planck is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ms Planck was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2006.

Mr Bill Mountford
Mr Mountford is a Director of McEwan Mountford Pty Ltd, a consulting and venture company, and Chairman of Primecarers Pty Ltd. Previously, Mr Mountford has served as CEO of Primecarers Pty Ltd and the Victorian Workcover Authority, was a Partner of Arthur Anderson, Director of Australian Consulting Partners, Executive Director of Australian Manufacturing Council and a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Economics, a Bachelor of Economics and has attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Mr Mountford was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2007.

Ms Penelope Hutchinson
Ms Hutchinson has been the Director of Arts Victoria for seven years and prior to this was a partner with BDO Nelsen Parkhill, an accounting services company. Ms Hutchinson currently serves on the Monash University Council and Victorian College of the Arts board, and has previously served on the Federal Airports board, Victorian Rehabilitation Centre board, and Medibank Private board. She holds a Master of Public Policy, a Bachelor of Arts, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Ms Hutchinson was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2007.

Professor David Hayward
Professor Hayward is the Dean, Faculty of Business and Enterprise, Swinburne University of Technology, and the former foundation Executive Director and then Director of the Institute of Social Research at Swinburne. Professor Hayward has published widely on social economics, state government finances and housing policy. Over the last five years, he has helped raise over $800,000 of contract research funding from a range of sources, including the Australian Research Council. Professor Hayward chairs the editorial board of Australia's leading urban journal, Urban Policy and Research, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Public Administration and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Urban Policy and Research and a PhD.
Professor Hayward was appointed to the Melbourne Health Board in July 2007.
