Intensive Care Unit   Nursing Opportunities @ RMH

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Intensive Care Unit is a 24-bed unit which accommodates patients requiring both high dependency and intensive care.  
 
ICU patients typically include:

• Neurosurgical
• Trauma
• Complex respiratory management
• Sepsis
• Oncology
• Cardiac Surgery
• Renal Failure
• Infectious diseases
• Multiple organ failure

The Intensive Care Unit is supported by four Clinical Nurse Educators who provide clinical education and support such as:

• Orientation Program
• In-service Education Support for undergraduate students
• Clinical Development Program incorporating: The Introduction to ICU course, Bridging and Refresher programs
• Postgraduate Certificate Program
