Nephrology Clinics

1 South East Clinic cares for patients with all forms of kidney disease, including those with chronic kidney disease, patients who are pre-dialysis, on peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis or after a kidney transplant.   Other clinics held in 1 South East Clinic include Bone Marrow Transplant and Urology clinics.

The Clinic operates from 0800 to 1630 Monday through to Friday and is closed on public holidays.

Renal Transplant Service

The Royal Melbourne Hospital is a major renal transplant centre.

Kidney transplantation in Australia was pioneered by RMH in the 1960s, and the hospital continues its groundbreaking work - in 2006, the hospital successfully performed Australia's first kidney transplant across incompatible blood groups.
