The Royal Melbourne Hospital recognises the valuable contribution Enrolled Nurses make to the nursing workforce, and in September 2012 we will be running our inaugural Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program.

 


The pilot program will enable the Enrolled Nurse to gain exposure to a variety of clinical settings, including both acute and subacute nursing, as well as residential care, whilst consolidating theoretical learning, clinical skills and critical thinking.

The RMH Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program offers:

  • Two x 6 month rotations
  • Comprehensive orientation program, including paid professional study days during the year
  • Exceptional clinical nurse educator support 
  • Extensive support network
  • Rotating roster, working 72 hours per fortnight
  • Annual leave
  • Salary packaging
  • Personal email account
  • Secure car parking and bicycle storage on-site
  • Certificate upon completion of the program

Rotations offered include the following acute and sub-acute areas (subject to availability):

  • Surgery and Perioperative services
  • Medicine and Community Care
  • Neurosciences and Continuing Care
  • Cancer and Infection Medicine Service
