PICTURE ARCHIVING AND COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM (PACS)

A FujiFilm PACS called Synapse, was implemented across Melbourne Health in October 2007. This allows referrers access to digital images and patient results both within Melbourne Health and also externally via the Web.

INSTALLATION & ACCESS

To access images from home, please follow these instructions and ensure that you have an active Melbourne Health network account.
Application for Melbourne Health network account by External Referrer. (Access to your referrals/patients only).

WHAT'S NEW

In December 2012 a mobile PACS solution was launched to provide Radiology images and results to clinicians and referrers internally and externally.
Mobile PACS Viewer (RMH ZedLink)

Synapse was upgraded from version 3.1.1 to version 3.2.1 on the weekend of the 26th-27th May 2012. Below is the documentation detailing some of the new features in Synapse. It is now compatible with Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 32-Bit
