A good night’s sleep could be the key to reducing epileptic seizures according to leading clinical researchers at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. In a world first study, published in international journal Epilepsy Research, doctors routinely monitored sleep patterns in 87 patients who had either epilepsy or psychogenic non-epileptic (PNES).

Today, haemodialysis patient, Peter Williams, will kick start his 700 kilometer adventure walking from Canberra to Melbourne. Pete’s Big Red Challenge will take him through regional towns of NSW and Victoria, to raise awareness of life with kidney failure.
