 GNP Application Process

2014 Selection Process
Your overall application will be assessed, which will include your covering letter, curriculum vitae, academic results and clinical reports. Once we have assessed your application and you have been successful, we will invite you to attend an interview.

The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know you better, as well as an opportunity for you to find out more about us.  We believe in personal one on one interviews.  You will be interviewed by two of our staff who will make you feel as relaxed as possible.

Interviews will take place in 26 August - 30 August, 2013.  Interstate and New Zealand applicants can be interviewed via telephone.

All prospective graduates, including interstate and New Zealand applicants, wishing to work in Victoria will need to apply to both Computer Match and The Royal Melbourne Hospital using the following processes:

The Royal Melbourne Hospital

Please follow this order when putting your application together.  Please staple your application together in the top left corner and place in a plastic sleeve ONLY.  DO NOT BIND OR PUT YOUR APPLICATION IN FOLDERS.

1. Completed RMH GNP Application form. Download Application form.  Include two (2) clinical referees from recent clinical placements.  Referees may be changed/updated at interview.

2. Attach ONE (1) passport photo (for identification purposes) in space provided on application form.  

3. Covering Letter (maximum 1 page)
    Describe why you wish to undertake a Graduate Nurse Program at The Royal Melbourne Hospital

4. Curriculum Vitae. Maximum two (2) pages.  (Referees to be listed on application form) 

5. Include certified copies of the following documents:
    - Transcript of all academic results received to date.  This must be an official transcript and must include a grading key. 
    - Two 2nd or 3rd year clinical assessments from acute health care settings
      (excluding psychiatric and maternal care placements)

Please note:  In situations where your university has not provided you with the original appraisals and you are therefore unable to reproduce certified copies, please include copies of your appraisals in your application and bring your certified copies to the interview.  Please ensure you make brief mention of this in your cover letter.
