Gastroenterology provides a wide range of services, covering all aspects of luminal gastroenterology, familial bowel cancer, liver and hepatobiliary disease, pancreatic disease, coeliac disease, oesophageal diseases (swallowing disorders and reflux), hepatology (Hepatitis C, general hepatology) and clinical nutrition (including home parenteral nutrition). The Gastroenterology Endoscopy Suite provides day procedures for Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and ERCP.
Outpatient services include a Clinical Nutrition Service, stationary oesophageal manometry/videomanometry and ambulatory oesophageal pressure/pH monitoring.
Specialised clinics are offered in Coeliac disease, Gastroesophageal reflux disease and Inflammatory bowel disease on Thursday evenings.
