Is there a registration fee?
There is no fee for registering with Medical Billing Service.
Who can register with Medical Billing Service?
Both resident and visiting providers, operating at any private hospital or approved day facilities can register with Medical Billing Service.
How can I submit my billing?
Record the patient and service details on the billing sheets provided by Medical Billing Service. Send us your billing sheets by mail or personally deliver them to our office.
Where can I obtain a billing sheet?
Drop by our office to obtain one, or request a billing sheet by faxing our Query Form.
Can I charge my patients' co-payments?
We encourage No-Gap billing for private patients (direct to Health Funds) where there is no out-of-pocket charge to the patient, however we can also bill for outpatients and known gap payments (e.g. anaesthetists).
Do you handle accounts for Transport Accident Commission, Veterans Affairs and WorkCover?
We also bill for patients insured with all these authorities.
