  RMH Foundation

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation is the community hub of volunteer and fundraising activities to support health, education and research initiatives across Melbourne Health services. 

The Foundation is led by a Board of Directors with involvement of Patrons and Governors comprising of leaders in medicine, research, the corporate sector and the wider community.

Purpose

  • To raise money for the benefit of Melbourne Health generally and for specific projects identified by Melbourne Health.
  • To facilitate research by seeking Major Gifts from individuals and corporations.
  • To develop and facilitate major signature events which will raise funds and organisational profile.
  • To support the implementation of Corporate Philanthropy and Corporate Sponsorship Programs.
  • To auspice (oversee and develop) high-level network development activities.
  • To develop and direct cultural projects, such as Arts In Health.
  • To provide specialist advice and support for the development of key fundraising initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction of volunteer programs across RMH and Melbourne Health.
  • Advancement of the reputation of The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the services of Melbourne Health.

Vision

Our Vision is of the Foundation as the heartbeat of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, where our clinical leaders, community leaders, friends and donors can come together for the benefit of The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Mission

Our mission is to improve the health of communities served by The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne Health through support of innovative research, the delivery of quality healthcare services and the education of health professionals across our organisation.
