Melbourne Health fosters research that enhances patient care, challenges clinical practice and promotes innovative health service delivery.

The organisation has close collaborative partnerships with research organisations within the famous Parkville Precinct, as well as nationally and internationally.
The Melbourne Health Office for Research provides a focal point for research both within the organisation and in collaboration with institutions on the RMH campus, including The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research and The University of Melbourne.
The strong ties, both formal and informal, between the hospital and these world-class research and academic institutions, are testament to the hospital's long-standing commitment to excellence in health care, teaching and research. |
