Melbourne Health Shared Pathology Service (MHSPS) provides routine and complex laboratory testing, interpretation of results, expert consultation, teaching and research. MHSPS delivers these services to a number of large health institutions in greater Melbourne area. Many GPs and specialists across the state also use MHSPS for rapid and reliable diagnostic services.

Results delivery
Melbourne Health Shared Pathology Service results are available to authorised clinicians the following ways:
1. Pathology Results Hotline (03) 9342 8000
Results are available to requesting clinicians 24/7 on the Pathology Results Hotline.
2. Fax
Results can be faxed directly to your practice. To arrange this service or to change your details,
please contact Pathology Information Management.
3. Electronic Result Transmission
Your patient's results can be safely and rapidly downloaded to practice management software via
our ERT service provider, HealthLink.

4. GP results from hospital admission
GPs requiring urgent or non-urgent results can complete the following form and fax to pathology
on 9342 8484.

5. Post
Hard copy results will be automatically sent to your practice in the mail in the absence of any
other delivery system.
