Dr Neil Came graduated Monash University in 1989 before taking up residencies at Monash Medical Centre and Royal Children’s Hospital. Dr Came moved to Royal Melbourne Hospital to complete basic and advanced physician training, Clinical & Laboratory Haematology Specialty training and a Bone Marrow Transplant Fellowship.
Since 2002, Dr Came has also occupied VMO posts in Haematopathology at Austin Health, Gribbles Pathology, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and is an Honorary Lecturer for Melbourne University and St. Vincent’s Hospital Clinical School.
In his professional life, Dr Came enjoys the pursuit of excellence in the practice of Haematopathology in a collegiate academic environment; participating in rigorous peer review; and acting as a source of referral to general and specialist colleagues. Dr Came is committed to validating new technological approaches to the diagnosis and monitoring of haematological malignancies with a focus on modalities that are widely applicable.
