The Royal Melbourne Hospital Kidney Care Service is the largest dialysis service in Victoria, providing care for approximately 30 per cent of Victorian dialysis patients. The central hub is located at The Royal Melbourne Hospital with links to major metropolitan satellite centres and 23 affiliated regional centres in the north western corridor of Victoria.
GP referrals
Patients can be referred to the Nephrology clinics for assessment. Patients can attend if they have newly diagnosed renal failure or deterioration in renal function. In consultation with the patient, the nephrologists will determine an appropriate treatment plan.
