Complaints by researchers
If any members of a research team wish to complain about any aspect of a research project, the way it is being conducted, or about the handling/review of a project by the Human Research Ethics Committee, they should contact the Chairman or Manager of the Human Research Ethics Committee, in the first instance.

Procedures for handling complaints are described in detail in the Guidelines for Handling Complaints in Research.

Melbourne Health also has guidelines about the responsible conduct of research which address matters such as management of research data, supervision of research trainees, publication and authorship, peer review, conflicts of interest and the handling of research misconduct and the framework for resolving allegations – Melbourne Health Guidelines for Research Practice 2007.
